Sinov exam trainer

About us

About the project

Sinov is a trainer for the state exam in the Russian language, Russian history and the fundamentals of legislation. People take it to obtain a work patent, temporary residence, a residence permit or citizenship.

Preparation here is entirely free: tasks, breakdowns and explanations. We do not charge for something a person has been obliged to do anyway.

What we do not do

This is the most important part of the page, and it comes before anything about ourselves.

We do not administer the exam. It is administered by state institutions on the list approved by the Government. No private organisation is entitled to administer it — neither we nor anyone else.

We issue no documents. No certificates, no diplomas, no letters. The moment a document of the established form appears, an educational licence and upload to the state FIS FRDO register are required. A trainer that issues no document needs no licence — and we deliberately remain a trainer.

We do not promise that you will pass. No "guarantee", no "you will pass easily". A trainer's assessment is a trainer's assessment, not the exam's.

We do not help to "sort things out". This market sits next to the trade in forged certificates. If someone offers you a certificate without an exam, it is a forgery, and you will answer for it, not the seller. A genuine certificate is visible in the FIS FRDO register.

Where our figures come from

Every figure on this site comes from a document, not from hearsay.

The composition of the exams, the scores, the pass marks and the timings come from Rosobrnadzor's specifications for the control measurement materials and from Government Decree No. 824. The verification dates are at the foot of every page.

What is not in those documents is not here either:

  • the price: it is set by the institution administering the exam, and there is no single national figure;
  • the validity period of the certificate;
  • the number of attempts.

Competitors publish these figures. We checked: one large site states on its patent page that "90 minutes are given for the exam", whereas the level 1 specification says 80. A person prepares for the wrong exam. That is why we leave a blank where we have a figure we cannot confirm — and we consider that more honest.

Languages

We produce explanations in seven languages: Russian, Uzbek in two scripts, Tajik, Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani and English.

The tasks stay in Russian — in the exam they are in Russian, and training on a translation means training for the wrong thing.

Machine translation is forbidden in every layer of our work, drafts included. An explanation is written by a native speaker and checked by a second one. It is slower and more expensive, but an explanation written by a machine does not explain.

Frequently asked questions

Is this free?

Preparation, yes — entirely, and with no limit on attempts. Only speech assessment will be paid: when you speak aloud and the system analyses your answer. Everything else is free forever.

Is registration required?

No. You can test yourself straight away.

Do you show advertising?

No, and we will not.

How do you know how the exam works?

From Rosobrnadzor's official documents and from the experience of a person who administered these exams for many years.

How can I contact you?

Write to the address at the foot of the page. A person will answer.
